David Ross Digital email hosting settings

If we are providing your website and email hosting, these are the settings you will need to setup Microsoft Outlook.

Under Account Settings you will need to set the following settings:

  • Your Name: The name you would like others to see
  • Email Address: The email address of the account
  • Incoming Server: ceres.uksrv.co.uk
  • Outgoing Server: ceres.uksrv.co.uk
  • User Name: This is the same as your email address
  • Password: The password we provided you

You then need to open up the “More Settings” window:

Under the “Outgoing Server” tab of the “More Settings” window, there should be a tick in the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” box. The associated radio button should be set to “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”

Under the “Advanced” tab of the “More Settings” window the Incoming server (POP3) should be set to 995 and there should be a tick in the “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)” box. The “Outgoing server (SMTP) should be set to 465 and the “Use the following type of encrypted connection:” drop down menu should be set to “SSL/TLS”
